Talking Points | Hey, What's Your Shirt Mean?

"Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness." --Psalm 143:10

It is TOUGH to be a child of God in this world... the world is inclined to be hateful and condescending toward us. How do we navigate this? We need heavenly wisdom. We need the Spirit to lead us "to the land of uprightness," or as other versions say "to level ground." Truthfully, the Spirit is the only way we can have the strength and wisdom to navigate this world. 

"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." --Romans 8:14

We are not saved by our own works or by our own ability to stop sinning. We are directed and empowered (led) by God toward Him and away from sin. Only HE leads us.
